The Arc Baton Rouge
Barry has served as the Executive Director of The Arc Baton Rouge for over 24 years. He has over forty-five years of administrative, direct service, advocacy and public policy experience with children and adults with disabilities and their families. He has served at the national level as a member of The Arc United States Board of Directors, and as a board member and Past President of the National Conference of Executives of The Arc. Barry also served as Chair of the Louisiana Conference of Executives of The Arc, Louisiana Association of Non-profit Organizations (LANO), Louisiana Budget Project Advisory Committee and the Louisiana Business Group on Health. He participates on numerous local, state, and national study committees and task forces and has presented at various state, regional and national conferences. Barry was honored to be named a John W. Barton Fellow, to receive the Excellence in Nonprofit Management Award from the Baton Rouge Area Foundation and to receive the NCE Outstanding Professional Achievement Award.
